HubSpot
Native WhatsApp Business channel in HubSpot’s Conversations inbox — send/receive, workflows, and contact timeline logging. Requires Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise; not on the free CRM.
- Best for
- Marketing and service teams already standardized on HubSpot who need WhatsApp in Conversations
- Price
- WhatsApp on Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional+ (Pro from ~$800–900/mo public cards); free CRM has no WhatsApp

Worth it for your operation?
Pros
- Official WhatsApp channel documented in HubSpot Conversations (not a marketplace bridge)
- Messages land on the contact timeline with workflow automation for templates
- Shared inbox and multi-seat service/marketing ops for teams already in HubSpot
- Huge ecosystem if WhatsApp is one channel beside email and ads
Watch-outs
- Locked behind Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional/Enterprise — free CRM does not qualify
- Template allowance on Pro (~1,000/mo shared) is modest for heavy broadcast use
- WhatsApp-first BSPs still win on BSP onboarding speed and broadcast tooling
- Total HubSpot bill often dwarfs a $99–$199 conversation platform
Score by criterion
The dark mark on each bar is the average of the 8 CRMs in this ranking. Criteria with higher weight pull the overall score more.
WhatsApp opens inside the product on the contact or deal, with assignment so more than one person can work the same number.
Connects to the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API / BSP). QR-code “WEB” sessions and unofficial bridges do not count.
Broadcasts or blasts plus Meta-approved message templates for re-engagement outside the 24-hour window.
Deal or contact history, multi-agent queues, chatbots, and CTWA-style lead capture — how far WhatsApp is first-class in the product.
Public plan in USD (or clear EUR/USD), trial, and whether Meta message fees are called out separately. Opaque enterprise quotes lower the score.
English UI, WhatsApp Business vocabulary (templates, 24-hour window, WABA), and time until the first shared inbox is live.

Editorial analysis
HubSpot in detail
HubSpot is the right WhatsApp answer when you already live in HubSpot and can pay for Marketing or Service Professional. Native Conversations channel — expensive floor.
Who it is for
US mid-market teams whose system of record is HubSpot and who need WhatsApp logged next to email. Greenfield WhatsApp-only shops should compare Respond.io, Kommo, or WATI first.
What drives the score
API and inbox are true (native). Price is the penalty — Pro hub cards sit far above WhatsApp-first starters. Conversation depth is good inside HubSpot’s world, not BSP-specialist depth.
How we read the sources
Based on HubSpot’s WhatsApp product page, Knowledge Base Conversations article (Professional/Enterprise requirement), and public Marketing pricing cards.
Frequently asked questions
Does free HubSpot CRM include WhatsApp?
No. HubSpot’s docs require Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise plus a WhatsApp Business account. The permanent free CRM is excellent for deals — it is not a WhatsApp inbox.
Why is HubSpot “generic” here?
HubSpot is a general CRM/platform. WhatsApp is a native channel on paid hubs, not the product’s center of gravity the way it is for Respond.io or WATI. Same honesty rule as solar and real estate.
