From most to least fitted to clinic operations

The order is the overall score — a weighted average of the six criteria with this vertical’s weights. Full EHR suites and patient-engagement add-ons sit on the same yardstick on purpose. The score says what the product covers — not that a messaging layer replaces a chart.

Context

Why clinic software is more than a schedule

In the US clinic market a “CRM” is almost never a sales board. The cycle runs through online booking, intake, a clinical chart, e-prescribing or notes, payer claims, patient payments, recalls, and follow-up. That is why a generic CRM and a practice-management suite do not play the same game — and this comparer puts both on one ranking, with explicit weights.

There is a third group that is easy to confuse in a demo: the patient-engagement layer. Online scheduling, reminders, and payments that sync into someone else’s EHR. They enter the same ranking on the same yardstick. A product that only books appointments loses on charting on purpose; a hospital-grade EHR that hides pricing loses on transparency. The score does not say “bad product” — it says what the product is.

Native messaging on the patient record (two-way SMS/inbox or WhatsApp API) is on the yardstick. One-way reminder blasts, portal-only chat, and marketplace apps do not count.
