Best CRMs for WhatsApp

CRMs and conversation platforms used by US and English-speaking teams to run WhatsApp Business — WhatsApp-first inboxes (Respond.io, WATI, Trengo, Kommo), plus general CRMs with native WhatsApp (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM) and Pipedrive where WhatsApp arrives only via marketplace apps.

For b2c sales and support teams that need an official WhatsApp business platform inbox.

Ranking

From most to least fitted to WhatsApp operations

The order is the overall score — a weighted average of the six criteria with this vertical’s weights. WhatsApp-first platforms and general CRMs sit on the same yardstick on purpose. The score says what the product covers on WhatsApp — not that a shared inbox replaces your ERP.

  1. 1Leader

    Kommo

    WhatsApp CRM

Sales CRM built around messengers — official WhatsApp Business Platform integration on all plans, shared inbox, templates, Flows, and pipelines. One of the clearest CRM-plus-WhatsApp stacks in the English market.

    WATI

    WhatsApp CRM

WhatsApp Business Platform toolkit — shared inbox, broadcasts, chatbots, Shopify-oriented commerce flows, and official API setup. Strong when WhatsApp is the channel; thinner as a full CRM of record.

    Trengo

    Zoho CRM

    Generic CRM

Native WhatsApp Business messaging inside Zoho CRM (Setup → Channels → Business Messaging) on trial and paid editions. Credits cover Meta-side conversation charges; one of the most accessible native CRM+WhatsApp options for SMBs.

    Pipedrive

    Generic CRM

Mature pipeline CRM with a Messaging app extension and marketplace WhatsApp connectors. Excellent deal board — WhatsApp is not a native first-party inbox on the lead, so inbox and official API stay false on this yardstick.

Context

Why a WhatsApp CRM is more than a phone number

In the US and broader English-speaking market, WhatsApp is not the default sales channel the way it is in Brazil — SMS, phone, and email still dominate. Teams that do run WhatsApp for B2C sales or support still need the same stack: an official WhatsApp Business Platform number, a shared inbox, Meta-approved templates, and a history that does not live on one employee’s phone.

This ranking puts WhatsApp-first conversation platforms and general CRMs on one list. A product that only opens WhatsApp via a browser extension or marketplace app scores low on inbox and official API on purpose. Meta’s per-message fees sit outside every software price here — the score looks at the product plan, not the carrier bill.
