HawkSoft
Family-owned P&C AMS with personal and commercial policy management, carrier download, commission processing, retention alerts, and E&O-minded documentation. Rating arrives via partner integrations. No public seat price; the sales agreement is framed as 30-day, not a long lock-in.

Worth it for your operation?
Pros
- Native PL/CL policy management, carrier downloads, and commission statement import
- Retention alerts, uprate alerts, and lead-management categories in the AMS
- E&O mitigation via self-documenting action menu and policy-level documents
- Public stance against long-term lock-in and data-hostage fees
Watch-outs
- No published rate card
- Comparative rating is partner/API, not a HawkSoft rater
- Batch email/text templates are correspondence, not a two-way SMS inbox
- Full feature set is a Windows desktop app; mobile is a browser Agent Portal, not a native producer app
Score by criterion
The dark mark on each bar is the average of the 12 systems in this ranking. Criteria with higher weight pull the overall score more.
Policy records — number, coverage, carrier, and status — without a parallel spreadsheet or a second system of record.
Commission tracking, splits, or carrier-statement reconciliation in the same product as the policy — not a sibling SKU or a spreadsheet.
Renewal workflow, alerts, and retention on the in-force book — not only a “won” stage or a new-business funnel.
Native SMS or messaging inbox on the client or policy card, with team history. WhatsApp Business API also counts. Portal-only chat and marketplace apps do not.
Public plan in USD, trial, and what sits outside the monthly fee. Mandatory add-ons for day-to-day AMS work lower the score.
English UI, policy and commission vocabulary, and time until a producer or CSR can work without a months-long implementation project.

Editorial analysis
HawkSoft in detail
HawkSoft is the retention-minded P&C AMS. The product page leads with policy automation, carrier downloads, commissions, retention alerts, and E&O documentation — and a 30-day sales agreement instead of a multi-year trap. Still no public dollar figure.
Who it is for
Independent agencies that want the book and the ledger in one system and will accept a rater next door. Quote-speed shops that need 300-carrier comparative rating usually start with EZLynx.
What drives the score
Policies, commissions, and renewals are strong. Quoting is intentionally false. Price is a little less punitive than Epic because HawkSoft publishes commercial terms (30-day, no extraction fees) even without a rate card. Messaging stays low. Curve is better than Epic — desktop-first, but sold as the system CSRs actually live in.
How we read the sources
Based on hawksoft.com/agency-management-system (policy, commissions, retention, E&O, cloud/desktop split) and the HawkSoft homepage.
Frequently asked questions
Why is quoting marked false?
HawkSoft’s AMS page points rating, VoIP, and marketing automation to Partner API connections. Comparative rating is not claimed as a native HawkSoft engine, so `cotacao` stays false.
Does batch texting count as native messaging?
No. One-way correspondence templates and blasts do not meet the two-way inbox rule.
